HISTORY OF TOWER ROOFING, INC.

Tower Roofing was founded in 1985 by Leland "Joe" Mitchell.  Before founding Tower Roofing, Joe worked as the Vice President of Sanders Roofing Company based in Atlanta, Georgia.  Sanders Roofing Company was one of the largest roofing contractors in the Southeast during that time.  Joe turned down all his offers with other commercial and industrial roofing contractors to pursue the dream of owning his company, Tower Roofing, Inc.

During that same year, Joe served as President for the Georgia State Roofing Association.  While a member, Joe has received both the President's Award and Boone Noblit Award. Tower Roofing started strickly as a commercial flat roofing company.  However, after seeing a need for residential and steep roofing contractors in the Atlanta market, Joe gradually shifted the company in that direction.  Once doing so in 1988, Tower Roofing started working for HOA's and property managers.

In June 1995, Greg Howell came to work for Joe at Tower Roofing.  Greg started his career in the roofing industry by working for an industrial contractor, C&W Roofing.  At C&W, Greg gained experience when working with many commercial/industry projects from Georgia Power buildings, Clayton County Schools, and Historical Buildings in Atlanta.  A few years later, in 1998, Joe Mitchell retired, and Greg Howell became the new owner of Tower Roofing.

Tower continued to grow within HOA's and gradually migrated away from large, new constriction projects.  As time went on, Greg saw a niche in the repair segment of the market.  Over the last 20 years, Tower has gradually and successfully cultivated the repair market.  Today in 2022, Tower Roofing, Inc has a fantastic team filled with years of industry experience.
